Scuba Discovery Course:
This course is for first time divers wishing to take their first step into the world of diving. Of course you’re going to love it! So why not use what you have learned and complete the rest of the course.
Open Water Scuba Diver Course:
The SDI open water course provides an entry level certification. The course covers buoyancy, proper weighting, marine conservation, equipment assembly, proper dive planning, and maintenance.
Another great benefit of SDI is that they offer online courses for ALL certifications which is great when completing them whilst on vacation.
Four day Certification:
The extra benefit of the SDI course is that the reading materials are condensed into only 90 pages and contain all the necessary information required. So if you choose to take the entire course on vacation, this is the best option.

Online Certification:
Complete the theory portion of the course prior to arrival and save valuable vacation time. Aquaworld will take you through your SDI confined water and open water dive training in just two days.
Advanced Adventure Diver Course:
This course will provide an overview of 5 selected SDI specialties. Two of these are deep and navigation and then you can choose from Advanced Buoyancy, Boat, Drift, and Marine Ecosystem Awareness.

The SDI Rescue Diver Course is designed to develop your knowledge and necessary skills to effectively perform diver rescues and assist, and administer necessary first aid. You will learn skills such as how to perform self rescues, buddy rescues, recognize and calm potential panic divers, administer proper first aid to divers that have experienced dive related injuries, conduct effective search patterns and manage accident scenes. After the SDI Rescue Diver Course you can enroll in the SDI Master Scuba Diver Development Program or start in the professional ranks and sign up for the SDI Divemaster Course.
CPROX:
The CPROX course is a straight forward no nonsense approach to teaching you as the first responder to an emergency how to handle the situation. The course is Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Oxygen administration combined into one program. You will learn how to use what is at your disposal to treat and stabilize victims until medically trained professionals arrive.
SDI Master Scuba Diver:
You have already shown that diving is the sport for you by completing your Open Water Scuba Diver certification, Advanced Scuba Diver certification, four specialties, Rescue Diver certification and you have logged 50 total dives, now take the next step. The SDI Master Scuba Diver Development Program is an earned certification and the highest non professional level of certification.
Divemaster:
The SDI Divemaster Course is the first professional level certification. During this course you will be challenged and learn what it is like to work with divers as they experience the underwater world for the first time and you will learn how to lead already certified divers and show them some of your favorite critters or dive sites. After you have completed the SDI Divemaster course you can move onto the SDI Assistant Instructor Course where you will learn more about academic presentations and have the ability to teach certain SDI specialties.
The IDC course consists of:
- Course planning
- Course promotion (marketing)
- Plan and teach academic sections and practical training sessions in the water
- Efficient use of assistants
In the evalutation of the candidates, they are evaluated on all they learned in the IDC. It’s a two day process where they are evaluated on the following skills:
- The preparation and learning of the academis sessions.
- Evaluation of knowledge of material related to diving. (Physics, Physiology, Environment, diving techniques and equipment)
** The candidate should dominate understanding of the pre-mentioned materials before beginning the course **
- Presentation of knowledge development
- Presentation in confined water
- Presentation in open water
- Emergency and rescue management
- Evaulation of 34 exercies at professional level.
- Stamina Exams (physical tests, swimming and abilities in the water)
Do you already hold a professional SDI level or equivalent with another agency?.
You can get certified as Open Water Instructor OWSI SDI. Then you can teach at levels from open water (OW), advanced diving, Rescue Diver, Divemaster.
If You're instructor from another agency, you can enroll in a very simple program to make your change - 'instructor cross over' with the advantage of being able to certify recreational divers with SDI.
You can also enter the fascinating world of technical diving if you're interested in this specialty through the most important agency in the world in this category - TDI.
