Once you complete your Open Water Certification you will be able to dive anywhere in the world. Although PADI is the leading dive centre in the world, most other dive companies will accept the certification.

Where to start:
The PADI Open Water Course involves three categories. Theory, confined water training and open water dives. The course is made up of five modules covering a range of training topics such as safety procedures, removal of equipment in the water and controlling buoyancy.
Here at Aquaworld we offer the following:
Full four day course (completing the whole certification in Cancun)
PADI E-learning course (you complete the theory prior to arrival)
Cd-Rom Certification (we sent you a Cd-Rom and training materials)
Referral (you complete the theory and pool training at your local dive shop prior to arrival).

Four Day Open Water Course |
This certification takes three or four days to complete. It’s important to know that aside from the classroom portion of the course, you will need to read the dive book in your spare time. * It’s a good idea to purchase the book and read it prior to arrival.
Day One Arrive to Aquaworld at 8am to complete theory portion
Begin Pool training – until about 2pm
Day Two Arrive to Aquaworld at 8am to continue with pool lessons
First set of 2 tank dives departing at 1pm – returning at 5pm.
Day Three Providing all pool work is complete you will dive again at 1pm.
The above schedule depends on each individual student and their learning speed. Four days may be required or course time may be longer if the student has not read the theory coursework.
We also offer the chance for you to dive from the island of Cozumel for the second set of dives. This is a full day and a great opportunity as the diving is amazing.
Your Cozumel Day Trip Includes:
Deluxe round trip transportation from Aquaworld to Playa Del Carmen
Ferry crossing from Playa Del Carmen to Cozumel
2 tank dive (last set of certification dives)
Lunch at ‘La Mision’ restaurant.
 Departs: Monday to Saturday at 8.00am from Aquaworld Cancun
Returns: Directly your Cancun hotel at 7.30pm

PADI E-Learning Open Water Course |
Sign up here (clickable link for sign up page) for the PADI E-Learning Certification. Complete your theory and reading prior to arrival to Cancun to avoid spending precious vacation time in the class room.
With this option you can go directly to the pool training (after a short theory review) and then complete your open water dives.
** with this option you would need to purchase the training materials separately. You can either do this at a dive shop near you or when you arrive**

Depart at 1pm to dive.
Day Two – Would be exactly the same as day one.
We also offer the chance for you to dive from the island of Cozumel for the second day’s diving. In which case, three days would be required.

Cd-Rom Open Water Certification |
This option enables you to complete the theory training prior to arrival to Cancun and thus cutting down precious vacation time.
We would FedEx the Cd-Rom training package to you and you would study the materials.
Once you arrive you would complete a theory review, confined water training and the four required open water dives.
Day One – Arrive to Aquaworld at 8am to complete pool training
Depart at 1pm to dive.
Day Two – Would be exactly the same as day one.
We also offer the chance for you to dive from the island of Cozumel for the second day’s diving. In which case three days would be required.
This is a full day and a great opportunity as the diving is amazing.

Open Water Referral Certification |
Complete your certification dives with us here at Aquaworld. Once you have all the theory and pool work completed, you are ready to dive! Aquaworld will take you through the most exciting part of the course – the diving.
Our Referral dives depart Monday to Saturday at 1pm or Sundays at 8am.
We also offer the chance for you to dive from the island of Cozumel for the second day’s diving.
This is a full day and a great opportunity as the diving is amazing.
Your Cozumel Day Trip Includes:
Deluxe round trip transportation from Aquaworld to Playa Del Carmen
Ferry crossing from Playa Del Carmen to Cozumel
